Job Title: 2x Development Workers (1x Finance, 1x Marketing)
Salary: £23,500- £25,500 per annum (pro rata 40 hours), depending on experience
Hours: 24 – 30 hours per week (to be agreed, with the possibility of increasing hours at a later date in accordance with our hours policy)
Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)
Contract: Permanent post with a probationary period of three months.
Location: 10 East Reach, Taunton TA1 3EW with flexible home working option on agreement
Responsible to: Co-operative Development Consultant

About SCS:
Somerset Co-operative Services CIC (SCS) is a development agency that supports the formation and growth of co-operatives, social enterprises and community businesses. We are passionate about making positive change in the social economy and offer a variety of services to individuals and groups who feel the same. We do this by providing consultancy, financial and back-office services, incubation facilities and professional development training.
We are looking for people who are passionate about sustainable community economic development and wants to work as part of a small team on diverse and interesting projects.
You will be employed by Somerset Development Workers Co-operative, who is a workers co-operative delivering services for SCS.

About the for the role:
We are looking for two people to join our small team and support our Co-operative Development Consultants on a range of projects and clients. Both roles are similar, and the main Job Descriptions apply to both roles. However, additional to this, we are looking for each role to have their own specialism:

  • Development Worker – Marketing. In this role you will be working with clients to support their marketing and publicity needs (including share offers, membership campaigns or service promotions), along with SCS’s own marketing. You will be joining at an exciting time, as SCS is about to undertake a rebrand and so this role will play an important part in that process.
  • Development Worker – Finance. Understanding the financial viability of an enterprise is vital and this role will play an important part in helping clients understand their financial position and development options.
