Join Somerset Skills & Learning and help us to change people’s lives, through learning!

SS&L work across Somerset, providing adult education, apprenticeships, traineeships and learning opportunities for our local community.

Due to exponential growth and new projects SS&L are looking for inspiring people and Tutors who are dedicated to supporting individuals to develop skills and gain qualifications that will help improve their lives.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Hairdresser or Hairdressing Tutor to help us develop and deliver a range of hair-related skills and qualifications, along with other courses and workshops.

This exciting new opportunity to help develop and grow a new sector, supporting our new commercial business in our Frome salon, adding the Hair to our Hair & Beauty offer for 2021/22 academic year.

As well as offering skills and qualifications to local people, we also invest heavily in community projects to help disadvantaged groups to improve their lives through learning.

The work we do is inspiring and heart-warming. We’re passionate about what we do, we’re evolving fast, and we are building our Tutor team to ensure we deliver quality and excellence in post-16 education to our local communities.

We can offer you the opportunity to work flexibly in a friendly, positive environment, and are committed to providing you with ongoing training and development in a supportive environment.  This role may involve some county-wide travel for which we pay a generous fuel allowance.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate how you are able to meet SS&L’s core values:

 Integrity • Growth • Innovation • Respect • Drive
