Home Safety Assistant

Based at Service Headquarters, Clyst St George, Exeter

 2 x Full Time roles on Fixed Term Contracts

1 role until 31 August 2021 covering a secondment until the permanent post holder returns

1 role until 30 November 2021 with the potential to become permanent.

 37.0 hours per week

 Salary: Grade 3 £20493.00 per annum

 We are looking for conscientious and motivated individuals to join the busy Home Safety Team within the Community Safety Department to provide support arranging home safety visits for vulnerable people in Devon & Somerset.

You will be a highly effective team player with excellent organisational skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook Word and Excel. You will be responsible for the daily booking and management of the home safety technician’s calendars by utilising an internal system. Prioritisation and planning skills are essential. as well as an excellent telephone manner with the ability to readily create a rapport with a client / situation and to determine appropriate levels of empathy and patience when dealing with vulnerable clients. An understanding of GDPR is desirable.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check.
