We are looking to fill several vacancies for residential care worker jobs:

  1. Job vacancy one working in Chard, with young Adults with Autism and learning difficulties, as a floating team member. Supporting 3 young adults with minimal challenging behaviour, Autism, Epilepsy and Communication difficulties. You must have a full Driving Licence for this post.

Hours – Full time floating RCW to provide cover for an average of 9 shifts per month (147.5 hours a month plus 8 sleep-in’s) and one on-call weekend every three weeks. The monthly rota is set in advance but this position does not have a set pattern. Overtime is applicable if called in when you are on call.

Salary ranges depend on experience and age: From £20,775 to £22,567.

  1. We have the following vacancies at our Children’s Homes situated in Chard and Axminister.

Applicants need to be physically fit and willing to undertake various activities. Including bike riding, swimming, walking etc. Enthusiasm to learn is essential and you will be paid to attend our comprehensive induction and ongoing training & development programme, which includes Conscious Parenting, PACE, De-escalation and Physical Intervention training.

It is a legal requirement for these vacancies, that carers must be 4 years older than the children in their care. Therefore, applicants must be over 21 years old and hold a current, full Driving Licence.

Full time RCW’s (working shifts consisting of 9 x 24.5-hour shifts, which include sleep in’s, plus 1 x 15.5-hour shift). The rota is a rolling 3-week pattern, Mon, Weds, Sat, Tues, Fri, Sun, Thurs.

Two full time floating RCW’s (not a set shift pattern) to provide cover at both homes, working 10 shifts per month with 9 sleep-ins, the rota is set in advance but not a set pattern.

Salary ranges £21663.00 to £23650.00pa. depending on experience and age and experience.

  1. A vacancy for Full Time, 10 x 15hr shifts per month no sleep-ins on a rolling 3 week shift pattern as described in either our adult home or children’s home.

Salary ranges £14832.00 to £16363.50 per annum depending on age and experience, with the opportunity for occasional sleep-ins at £60.00 or occasional on call weekend work.
