We are looking for an experienced and qualified SENCO to lead SEND across the school. This is an exciting position which would suit a highly motivated person to work in a supportive environment. This is a vital and important role and as such requires a SEN practitioner who is both highly committed, knowledgeable and dedicated.

The main responsibilities would be as follows:

  • Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision.
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEND and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
  • The SENCO will also be expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the school Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
