 About us

We are looking for qualified social workers who have a passion for working with, and an understanding of the needs of children who are disabled.

The social workers within our teams work closely with children and their families in a creative way which looks to ensure that they can stay together and achieve their best hopes.

About the job

We cannot do this alone and working together with our multi-agency colleagues in health, education and social care is a key skill. We undertake all aspects of statutory work so no two days are the same. This is a unique team where you may have the opportunity to work with children and their families from assessment through to adoption, including all aspects of safeguarding and Court work if that is what the child requires. We work with children from 0 through to 18 helping them achieve a successful transition into adulthood.

About you

Your role will be to ensure that the voice of the child is heard in everything you do. As a team this is something that we really pride ourselves on and we are always looking for new ways that we can capture the day-to-day lived experience of the child. This is where our work must be child-focused and resourceful so that the child is not lost behind their diagnosis.

We will support you to achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families by providing training as well as monthly, ad-hoc and peer supervision to aid your growth and development. We nurture social workers at all stages in their career from NQSWs through our ASYE programme, to more experienced social workers who may wish to make the next step in their career to Advanced Practitioner and beyond.
